little ladies

This morning, I did a session for my good friend, Cori. Cori is a past co-worker of mine, and I've had the pleasure of watching her little girls grow up... well, Kate is only 2, but you know what I mean. In fact, about 3 years ago, while at work, Cori was complaining about feeling like crap, and I jokingly said "maybe you're prego".. and low and behold, little Kate joined us not 9 months later :)


Lily, I met at age 5. Now 11, she is definitely becoming her own person. Lily has been in ballet since she was 4, so she brought her costume along for some photos, and showed me some ballet stances [stances? is that what they are called?]. When I was trying to direct her, I said "why don't you stand like this?", doing my best ballerina pose. I was informed that the pose I was attempting was "more like yoga than ballet"... thanks Mom, for never putting me into ballet class, thus rendering me an idiot in front of the 11 year olds I now photograph...
