Little Miss Maggie - Milwaukee Maternity Photographer

My husband's family is humongous. Because of this, I was pregnant with Grayson at the same time as both his sisters and 2 of his cousins. This time around, I'm only sharing pregnancy with 1 other - his cousin Meg.

We are due 2 weeks apart - I am due first, but she'll probably have hers before me, because why wouldn't she?

This is baby #1 for Meg & hubby Jeff. I love that its their 1st and our 2nd - at this session, they threw all sorts of questions my way, kinda made me feel like an old pro (when admittedly, most days I have NO IDEA what I'm doing!)

Meg is a namesake - Marguerite Mary is her mother's name (she goes by Margie), it is also her grandmother's name (she goes by Mickey). So, decidedly, baby Strasser (clearly, a girl) will be Marguerite Mary as well. She'll go by Maggie - And I can't wait to meet her (Very very soon! Ah!)

Meg, Jeff - enjoy these last few days as a couple. I'm very excited to see your transition to a family :)

love :)

baby mindy + tae - milwaukee maternity photographer

Mindy & Tae have hit quite a few milestones over the past year. We shot their engagement session in September, their wedding in May and now their maternity session - with baby Ellie due in about 6 weeks! Its a good thing you guys are so good at having your picture taken ;)

Met up with the couple [who are now Chicagoans, but I won't hold it against them] at Tae's mom's condo in the Third Ward. From there we wandered down to the lakefront. Despite an alleged stalking security guard, it was a great shoot.

Enjoy your preview kids - Can't wait to meet miss ellie!

Have you ever seen such a cute little belly?

oh, milwaukee - what a GREAT place to live ;)

werner belly - milwaukee maternity photographer

On Sunday I met up with Jackie & Grant for their maternity session. Time sure does fly when you're having fun, because 2 hours later I was still there - chatting away with mommy & daddy to be!

Everything about the Werner homestead was just fab. I couldn't have asked for better indoor lighting, and the home decor was superb. You guys want to come over and decorate my house sometime? :)

Jackie & Grant - congrats again, and thanks for a fabulous time! I can hardly wait to meet Baby Werner in a few weeks. Until then... get as much sleep as possible, and best of luck with the delivery!

which is spelled out above the crib. Sorry guys... I was sworn to secrecy :)

baby c & josh - milwaukee maternity photographer

Shot a maternity session for my college roomie tonight! I am super excited for alot of reasons, but mostly because this particular roomie wasn't completely sold on the idea of maternity pics, scheduled hers pretty late in the game, and ALMOST canceled.

Luckily, she decided to suck it up and go through with it. Because, really, she and her husband [and their puppy, Buck] are just about the cutest fam I've gotten in front of my camera.

All cuteness aside - they were also ridiculously natural in front of the camera, which I just adore. Even Buck, give or take a brief obsession with a bird, was a perfect model.

Good times, guys. I can't wait to meet little "Jackel" in a few weeks [!!!]. I hope in the meantime, these pics help tide you over :)

hello, baby!

sigh, lovely.

the lot across the street from their house is still unsold, so currently, its a big, empty field of perfection.

fave [I think... I can never decide!]

Buck - quite the handsome dude, hey?

love.

"Jackel's" first photo [not by me.., I'm pretty high tech, but I'm not THAT high tech...]

seriously - could he have posed more perfectly? Oh, Buck.

Baby Klemmer

Saturday was belly day :) We went from McDeux's maternity session - to the Klemmer household. Kristin & Jeff are expecting baby numero uno in May. Momma has about 8 weeks to go - and she is super tiny still. So tiny, that we had to keep telling her to grip the belly, so you could, ya know, TELL she was prego :)

Mom & Dad-to-be are both Marquette grads. We couldn't place eachother, but since we have a number of mutual friends, I'm sure we'd crossed paths on one or two [ahem, hazey] nights at good ol' MU. A family friend had made Baby Klemmer a bunch of Marquette onesies - including one that read "Class of 2032" - which not only made me feel CRAZY old, but also freaked me out - Grayson will be class of 2031 - or class of 2032, if he decides to go the 5 plan ;)

Joining in on the session was Leinie, Kristin & Jeff's 3 year old yellow lab. SUCH a good boy - and very lovey dovey, he wanted to be in every picture. He was really good at modeling too. Anytime we pointed the camera his way, his ears perked up, tongue came out - I wish my dogs were this photogenic.

Kristin, Jeff - enjoy your preview and your last few weeks as a twosome. We can't wait to meet little baby Klemmer!

oh, Leinie - you are going to be such a good big brother...
and you may have a future in dog modeling.

Kristin - you pretty much define the term "pregnant glow".

there's a baby in there, I swear.

sorry for making you lay on the floor.

make a "gender neutral"] nursery

McDeux

We met Stefanie, Max & Li'l Max back in November 2008 - when we were brand brand brand spankin' new. Stefanie is cousins with a pal of mine from college. He knew she was looking for 1 year photos of her little guy, also knew that we were embarking on this adventure - and paired us up.

At our first session, Li'l Max was just on the verge of walking, but not quite there yet - he also didn't haev ANY teeth - which made for some really cute, gummy smile pictures.

Stefanie and Max are now expecting baby #2, lovingly referred to as "McDeux" - a little boy due in about a month. Li'l Max, no longer so little, is now an energetic 2 and a half year old - with a mouth full of teeth, very excited about becoming a big brother. We met up with these 3 [soon to be 4!] at their home, which was really nice for pictures. Good light, and you could tell both Li'l Max & big Max were comfortable in their own element :)

Enjoy your preview, guys. We can't wait to see you as a family of 4!

36 weeks... I was NOT this small with only 4 weeks to go.

McDeux!

McDeux from the front [like a little basketball - which is quite appropriate gievn March Madness and all]

Big Max - quite comfortable in front of the camera :)

Li'l Max - equally as comfortable...

baby drew #2 [on the inside]...

I've known Meg & Matty since we were all little troublemakers back at Marquette. [Well, not Meg, she was a cheerleader, so she couldn't possibly have been a troublemaker... riiiiiight]. These 2 are the proud parents of Lucy, one of the most adorable little ladies you will ever meet, and now are embarking on the adventure of baby #2 - who is due on Grayson's birthday [April 27th]!

We held their maternity session at casa de Drew. I always kind of prefer to use a couple's home for at least some of the maternity session, because 1- people tend to be more comfortable in their own home and 2 - there is a symbolic aspect to it - family, home, and I am a cheese ball when it comes to stuff like that. Meg & Matt have a very cute home - with lovely choices for paint colors, and that always makes our job easy.

I hope you enjoy your preview you 3 [soon to be 4!]. We can't wait to meet little Drew #2 this spring! Boy? Girl? Oh, the anticipation!

Dear Lucy - you are so cute we can't stand it. Love, S&J

helloooo, GQ.

I love these Willowcreek statues. Husband, how come I didn't get a pregnant lady Willowcreek statue whilst I was carrying your child for 9 months?

America's next top maternity model
