On Friday, Jen & I reunited [yay!] to shoot Jessi & Mitch's wedding. Mitch is a pal from the glory days back at BMHS. He was lucky enough to find himself a nice girl here in Milwaukee. At their engagement session, it was easy to see that these 2 were really good in front of the camera, so we've long awaited their wedding day :)
Both ceremony & reception were held at the Polish Heritage Center in Franklin. This is the 2nd time this year we've shot at this venue. If you're looking for a really nice, vintage setting, this is it. Chandeliers & candelabras, vaulted ceilings, and the whole place is set on a lake, with a perfect view of sunset. Lovely.
They were having an evening ceremony, so the couple opted for a first look. Yay! I waited outside with Mitch, while Jen brought Jessi down to the garden. Mitch was facing me, so I got to watch his lovely bride approach, all the while reminding him he had better not turn around until she told him to. It was great. SO fun to get to see their reactions, and it made for some GREAT pics! If you're interested in more information on a first look, be sure to ask - I highly recommend it!
Jessi, Mitch - thank you so much for letting us be part of your day. It was awesome down to the very last detail. Hope you're enjoying Florida!
Jessi was an absolutely classic bride.
first look! :)
I love this shot - very similar to my favorite from their e-session
the cerfemony was in front of this big picture window, which gave all of my shots this ethereal glow.
Hard to shoot, but I like the result!
The Polish Heritage Center has a balcony overlooking the ballroom, after the bouquet toss,
we had all the guests come out to the dancefloor to get a shot :)
