amanda & alex - milwaukee wedding photographer

Amanda & Alex were, quite literally, one of our very first wedding bookings. We met with Amanda and her sister/matron of honor Genny back at the end of 2008, shot their engagement session last summer, and have been anxiously awaiting June 5, 2010 ever since.

Amanda was the cutest, most excited bride yet - and she was VERY good at keeping in touch, making sure we were always in the loop and occasionally emailing to say hello. Her wedding day was no different. Even though mother nature tried to put a damper on things, she wasn't going to let it get her down.

Ceremony was held at South Side Church or Christ - a cute little church. No air conditioning, which made me deeply pity the wedding party - but the ceremony was brief, and in no time we were out of there and on our way to Muskego Lakes Country Club. As we drove to the reception site, clouds filled the sky. As we were assembling the wedding party on the grounds, we started to feel sprinkles, and by the time we were snapping, it was coming down harder... LUCKILY, we found some cover under trees and were able to get our group shots knocked out. As we ventured back toward the hall, the sky opened up and it didn't stop raining for the rest of the night - you'd be surprised what some golfers will play through. I can't tell you how many times we heard "I don't think the hard stuff is coming down for a while". LOL.

Amanda, Alex, we hope your day was all you were waiting for - we certainly had a blast with you. Congrats again - hope the sun in St Lucia was kind to you :)

the church had this cute old kitchen...

... and a chalkboard.

the party - staying dry

You did an amazing job!!!!!!!! I am so excited for all of our pictures! We actually saw this preview last night when we were in Atlanta waiting to board the plane back to Milwaukee. I was almost crying in the airport when I saw the pictures. I love them! I can't wait for the rest!!!!!!
