Wednesday afternoon I got to meet little Miss Madelyn, 10 days old. Madelyn is the daughter of Laura [and Casey] who was the personal attendant at a wedding we shot over the summer [once again, shout out to the Gunderts!].
I was lucky enough to sneak a session with Madelyn in mid-week. [Can't stress enough how important it is to get newbie sessions done within the first 2 weeks!] Madelyn was the perfect age - just alert enough to give us some open eye shots, but still sleepy enough to cooperate when we needed her to :) She had a certain aversion to Mommy's antique chair, but other than that, a perfect shoot!
Gosh, do I love new babies. The way they melt into you when you pick them up, the way everyone around them is made instantly happier in their presence, the completeness they bring to a couple, and how, even at 10 days old, they can completely have their parents in the palm of their hands... amazing little creatures :)
Congratulations Laura & Casey! We can't wait to watch little Madelyn grow!
