Alot of children were off school on Friday - that said, I had back to back shoots [and 1 less vacation day at the day job].... Friday's weather was less than cooperative, but we managed to make it work.
The day's first shoot was at a fire house! This is where I met Sam, Carly & Ellie, whose great grandfather was a Milwaukee firefighter. Because of this, Mom Colleen asked about potentially using a fire station for the shoot. To this, I figured, "can't hurt to ask". So, I contacted MFD, and they were happy to oblige [shout out to Lt. Josh Parish for making it happen].
The firemen at Engine 27 welcomed us with an engine AND a ladder truck, both parked in front of the station. We were able to use the inside of the station, and even some of the firemen's gear. I think I may have been more excited than the kids.
After shooting around the station, we headed down the block to a park to play in the [wet] leaves. Enjoy your preview!

Little Sam - quite the personality.
Carly, the big sister.
cousin Ellie joined in the fun too - this is her "tough face".
I just love this one... all the while I kept going "stay still, Sam, don't move, be still" [I was afraid he'd tumble over]!
giddy girls
how cute is this brother/sister combo?
gotta love the no tooth/new tooth smiles of 6 year olds
a very big thank you to engine co. 27 and the Milwaukee Fire Dept for being so wonderfully accommodating!
