jen & mike - illinois wedding photographer

Mike [Michael to me], is the younger brother of my good friend Dan'ell. I've known since he was about 8. So, needless to say, when he called about photography for his WEDDING, I was feeling JUST a little old....

Usually, when I know a client [outside of the fact that we've become friends because they're a client], I get really nervous doing work for them. Not sure what it is - you'd think that would make me more at ease, but I'm weird that way. This group though, was no problem. Once we got into it, everyone was so fun and laid back, my nerves were quickly eased.

The ceremony was in Huntley, IL with reception at Golf Course of Illinois in Elgin. With a stop in Algonquin for photos and enough time between to hit up a tavern. The reception hall was right on the driving range, where we were lucky enough to happen upon a few friendly golfers more than willing to lend us their gear for some fun shots.

Overall, a great day - the heat tried to stop us, but we pushed thru, and got some great shots in the process. We only wish we could have stayed longer - the dance floor was HOPPIN'!

Enjoy your preview!

This daisy was hardcore - those rings were heavy.

I think Michael's dad [shout out to big willie] was just as "nervous" as he was...
leading up to ceremony time, he joined Michael in the stairwell to give him fatherly advice,
and I tried to sneak attack a few pics without interrupting :)

Jen, your eyes are amazing!

seeing his bride for the first time :)

I kind of had a weird location in the church, and had to shoot between guests - but I loved this shot
taken thru the bride's grandparents.

these 2 were good kissers :)

work it.

I apologize for all the tavern preview pics - but the light there was REALLY nice!

fore!

father-daughter dances always yield some of the best shots of the night...

Congrats you 2!
