meghan & matt - milwaukee wedding photographer

Eric & I shot Meghan & Matt's wedding in Delafield. As we arrived at the hotel, we saw a woman somehow managing to walk 2 rottweilers, a saint bernard, and a bulldog. I wondered if perhaps there was a dog show in town, because they were all beautiful pups. As we got up to the bride's hotel room, we discovered that the dogs actually belonged to the bride's parents - just along for the celebration. Hahaha, it was awesome. As we waited for the bride, we got to know the pups a bit, especially little Dozer, the bulldog - who quickly became my pal.

The day was running a bit behind, as weddings sometimes do, so once the ladies arrived it was go go go. We actually ended up arriving at the church at St John's Military Academy only a few minutes prior to wedding time. No worries! The ceremony was quick - we were able to shoot family formals in just a few minutes and then we headed outside to utilize the beautiful red door of the church.

Reception was at Seven Seas - which is located on a lake, and provided for a lovely view [and photos] of sunset. We'd initially intended to grab a few shots of Megahn & Matt at sundown, but once Eric had his soft box set up. people came in droves for pics - it was great!

Meghan & Matt were so natural in front of the camera. They were especially good at impromptu kissing - which I love. Alot of really unique music at this wedding as well. The father/daughter dance was to Ozzie Osborn's "Changes" - which never would have crossed my mind for a father/daughter dance, but worked perfectly... pretty sure later in the night I even heard "Iron Man" :)

Congrats you two - and enjoy your preview!

the groomsmen's gifts were boot beer glasses [known in my social circle as "das BOOT!"], how cool is that.

Meghan's sister was the MOH, and she got a little emotional during her speech

the maid of honor's kiddos were also the ring bearers/ushers -
3 of the cutest, most polite little boys I've ever met.

I'll end with the first dance - Brad Paisley's "Then", oh, how I love that song....
