Our first Sunday session was our first encounter with Sam. Oh, Sam. So very cute, and so very very resistant to having his photo taken - if you ONLY knew how much the camera loves you.

Jen & I broke out just about every trick in the bag to get Sam to come out of his shell... and he did... and we'd take a few shots... and then he'd remember that he doesn't like cameras, and the cycle would start over. No worries. Between the playground, the 'staches, and chuckin' rocks into good ol' Lake Michigan, we were able to sneak attack some pretty great pics of this handsome little guy.

Sam, thanks for keeping us on our toes. We hope you, Mom, Dad & Dobie like your preview... and hopefully you enjoyed your much deserved quesadilla :)

speaking of personality... this is sam using every fiber of his being to NOT smile - even though I was wearing a fake moustache and everything! [thanks for quashing my dream of ever becoming a comedian, sam]...

had we known how happy the simple act of throwin' rocks into the lake 

would make him, we'da probably headed there first :)
