lea & kevin - married :)

Our wedding consult with Lea & Kevin was back in the fall, at a coffee shop in the Fifth Ward. The shop was packed inside, so we decided to grab a table on the front terrace. We were just getting into learning the details of Lea & Kevin’s romance when Jenny noticed a small creature peeking out at us thru the bushes.

“Is that a RAT?!?”  At first, I didn’t see it, but after a second or two, I saw it peek its little nose out from a small bush, then it proceeded to jump up onto the doorstep of the coffee shop. Before we had time to ponder whether or not we should move, scream, [tell the coffee shop they may have a rat problem?], Mr. Rat started moving toward our table. Now, it should be noted that this rat seemed very domesticated. Nevertheless, when it finally DARTED toward us – we all ran screaming. Good times.

The wedding, thank goodness, was rat free. And awesome.

Saturday’s weather was wonderful. The first weekend of March, sunny, high 40s – are you kiddin’ me? [Still, sorry for making you freeze, ladies - not all that warm in a dress, I suppose]. Both ceremony and reception were held at the Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center in downtown Milwaukee. I gotta say, that place is pretty cool. Aside from all the old art and photos of old-timey masons, it has a vintage theater! Needless to say, we spent most of our time there.

Lea and Kevin are a fun couple. Their recessional song was "Walking On Sunshine"! And from the way they were naturals at “not posing” for pics, and Kevin picking Lea up and spinning her around at the end of their first dance – it was easy to see the love these two have for eachother. Sigh….

Lea, Kevin, we hope you enjoy Puerto Vallarta [and your preview]!

this place even had old timey barber chairs - so neat!
kevin had alot of funny moments pre-ceremony [and funny expressions to boot] - for example: upon learning his choice of undershirt is appropriate.
upon realizing he ALMOST forgot an integral part of his wedding day attire.
