Bridget [queen of referrals], and family

On Sunday, we had 2 family shoots - Bridget & family, and Lee & family [who will be the subject of our next post]. These 2 are neighbors - and, although we'd not worked with Bridget until this shoot, she has referred a RIDICULOUS amount of business to us. I believe the count so far is 2 weddings, 3 families, and 1 highschool senior. Shout out to Children's Hospital, because they are all coming from there - and because I know they will all be looking at this blog entry :)

SO, we met up with Bridget, husband Todd and little ones Paige & Logan, and headed out to Fox River Parkway in Waukesha. The weather was a little iffy, but we were able to get a good hour+ of shooting in without a hitch. I think to the surprise of Todd, who was hoping for a 20 minutes or less kind of shoot....

Nevertheless, fun was had. This family was more than willing to do anything we asked of them, including play hopscotch, pose on playground equipment and "wrestle". What we loved most about them though, is that it gave us a glimpse into future family life. Bridget and Todd seem to be very no-nonsense. Their sense of humor is pretty sarcastic [our kinda people], and they don't hold this back from their kids. It was refreshing to know that having children doesn't have to change who you are. So, thanks guys, for giving us hope that we won't just turn into dorky, nagging parents as our little ones get older! LOL.

aww. love.

sibling rivalry.

"sliding through life together". haha.

how cute are they, seriously?

oh my... even cuter in B&W...

impromptu family wrestling session... little Paige got a little clobbered, but she took it all in stride.

FUN FACT: did you know that salamanders live in WI?? because I did not, and it really weirded me out when Todd was moving logs [with the skill of a lumberjack] to sit on and found one... also, we discovered that if you say "salamander" a bunch of times in a row, it kind of starts to sound like a fake word... the end.
